We sampled surface soil isolates of Escherichia coli from phylogroups B1B and D to measure their capacity to survive in adverse soil conditions. Whole genome sequencing was performed on E. coli isolates to find genomic variation associated with high and low death rate phenotypes.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers.
