Neodiprion are hypermetamorphic and sexually dimorphic insect that feeds on various pines in North America. This project includes whole genome sequencing reads that correspond to 19 eastern North American Neodiprion species and one western North American Neodiprion species. The study goal was to produce a comprehensive phylogeny of the eastern North American clade of Neodiprion including exploring regions of the genome that don't follow the species tree. Data users are expected to allow the data producers to publish the first paper with global analyses of the data.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA854171 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
