Phytophthora castanetorum, Phytophthora quercina, Phytophthora tubulina, Phytophthora sp. ohioensis, and Phytophthora sp. quercina-like (MN23B) constitute the phylogenetic clade 12 that have been associated with root rot and decline of forests and trees in Europe, Australia and the USA. We report the draft whole genome sequences of all six species, as the first phase in improving upon existing diagnostic tools to identify Phytophthora quercina, a priority pest of significant regulatory concern in the USA.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers.
