Transcriptomes were generated for sugarbeet root, leaf and petiole at different stages in plant development. RNA was obtained and sequenced from root tissues collected from plants that were harvested 5 days, 3 weeks, 5 weeks, or 16 weeks after planting. RNA from seedling shoot tissue, comprised of all aerial tissue from a 15 d seedling, was obtained and sequenced, as well as RNA from immature leaf laminas and immature petioles, obtained from 3 week old plants, and mature leaf laminas and mature petioles obtained from 16 week old plants. All tissue was collected from greenhouse grown plants of commercial sugarbeet hybrid VDH66156 with five replicates for each tissue type x developmental stage combination.
