For this study, 737 sweetpotato accessions were obtained from the USDA, Agricultural Research Service, PGRCU (Plant Genetic Resources Conservation Unit), Griffin, GA. Each PI was grown in the field in replicated plots at the U. S. Vegetable Laboratory, Charleston, SC. The mature leaves of each PI were evaluated for morphological characters.

Intended use

These data were part of a larger study to phenotype the entire USDA, ARS sweetpotato germplasm collection in Griffin, GA. This information is especially useful to sweetpotato breeders.

Use limitations

No attempts have been made to reconcile errors or differences in these color data and what has been reported previously in the GRIN system. As such, these data are from the materials received from the Plant Genetics Resources Conservation Unit (PGRCU) in Griffin, Georgia.
