Intended use

This dataset originates from a qualitative study involving semi-structured, in-depth interviews with 14 ranchers in Utah, conducted between May and September 2023 as part of the "Smart Foodscapes" project. The primary aim was to explore ranchers' perspectives on adopting climate-resilient practices, particularly Smart Foodscapes, which promote the use of deep-rooted perennial legumes and forbs. The interview protocol covered six key areas: engagement, views on Smart Foodscapes, decision-making and trust, sense of place, ranching operations, and demographic information.
