Mannheimia haemolytica is a bacterial pathogen associated with bovine respiratory disease complex (BRDC). It secretes a leukotoxin that binds to CD18 on leukocyte membranes and causes acute inflammation and lung injury characteristic of BRDC. We report the complete closed genome sequences of a leukotoxin mutant and its parent strain.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA277374 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
