We have identified C. tyrobutyricum (RPT-4213), renamed to NRRL B-67062, which can produce butyric acid from agricultural biomass hydrolysates under strict anaerobic condition. Complete genome of NRRL B-67062 showed one circular chromosome of 3,242,608 nucleotides, 3,114 predicted coding sequences (CDSs) and 79 RNA genes and an average G+C content of 31.0.
