BCG vaccine is known to induce trained immunity in humans and mice. We aimed to study the same in the bovine species. Trained immunity is influenced by the epigenetic reprogramming of innate immune cells, keeping certain regions in the chromatin accessible and ready to release effectors. ATAC sequencing reveals those open regions of the chromatin. Therefore, in this study, we compare the chromatin states of the BCG immunized and control groups.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA1135310 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
