We have fully sequenced and annotated C. jejuni strain RM3194 a clinical sample originally isolated in 1994 from a case of human enteritis at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa. Among the interesting genes found on the novel 81,079 bp plasmid contained in RM3194 was a gene homologous to an UV damage DNA repair gene.
