Bovine blood transcriptome sequencing - analysis of persistent infection with BVDV

dataset
posted on 2024-06-11, 06:14 authored by University of Nebraska Lincoln
Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) has a profound economic impact on the industry. Persistently infected (PI) animals increased morbidity and mortality, and expose their herd mates to the virus. To better understand how PI cattle cope with infection, the circulating transcriptomes of naturally infected PI cattle, cattle co-mingling with the PI cattle but not themselves PI for the virus, and a group of unrelated, unexposed controls was evaluated.
