Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) has a profound economic impact on the industry. Persistently infected (PI) animals increased morbidity and mortality, and expose their herd mates to the virus. To better understand how PI cattle cope with infection, the circulating transcriptomes of naturally infected PI cattle, cattle co-mingling with the PI cattle but not themselves PI for the virus, and a group of unrelated, unexposed controls was evaluated.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA559595 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
