BioCON 16S root microbiome

dataset
posted on 2024-06-11, 06:13 authored by University of Miami
This project analyzes the effects of elevated CO2 and nitrogen (+N) fertilization on root bacterial communities across a range of plant species at the BioCON experiment in Minnesota. Decreasing levels of species richness, free-air carbon enrichment and fertilization are used to experimentally represent environmental changes in the field that can impact the structure of above and belowground communities, as well as their functioning. In our project we analyze the effects of eCO2 and +N as mediated by plant functional group on bacterial community composition and predicted functional gene abundances.
