Beauveria bassiana is a globally distributed, ecologically prominent insect pathogen. Because of its wide host range and ease of cultivation, it is among the most commercially important and widely applied mycoinsecticides. This project includes isolates of B. bassiana and related species as part of studies to infer the phylogeny of the B. bassiana species complex and a population genomic investigation of a B bassiana epizootic on coffee berry borer in Puerto Rico.
