This study evaluated the in vivo transfer of tetracycline resistance genes from potential Escherichia coli donor to Salmonella Heidelberg recipients in layer chicks. No transfer was observed, but this study provides valuable insights into the how the genomic context of AMR genes can impact transmission potential.
