Aflatoxins, primarily produced by two phytopathogenic fungi, Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus, are among the most powerful carcinogens. The aflatoxin biosynthesis gene cluster contains 25 genes that are involved in aflatoxin production. Due to the differences in toxin-production among Aspergillus species and its correspondence with their genomics, election of the target gene has to be carefully studied to ensure RNA interference silencing success and efficacy.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA294007 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
