Aspergillus flavus, a common saprophyte, is an opportunistic pathogen of many crops. Numerous genetic sequences are available but nearly all A. flavus genomes in GenBank are highly fragmented, with more than 100 contigs. This project, completed with PacBio SMRT sequencing, is a complete, de novo, assembly of a reference genome of A. flavus strain CA14 consisting of 8 full-length chromosomes without gaps.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA664384 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
