Aspergillus flavus is a plant pathogenic fungus which produces the carcinogenic mycotoxin aflatoxin and acts as an economic burden both within the United States and globally. It has recently been discovered to go through the sexual cycle, but little is known about the way this influences the genomic landscape. To understand genetic heritability in A. flavus, we sequenced three populations composed of the two parental strains and approximately 70 F1 progeny strains with double digest restriction associated DNA sequencing and aligned them to the Aspergillus oryzae RIB40 reference genome to identify SNP markers.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA534054 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
