An efficient multiplex approach to CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing in Citrus

dataset
posted on 2024-09-29, 07:17 authored by Yale University
This study evaluates different promoters, Cas9 variants, and strategies to express multiplexed sgRNAs for the purpose to of defining improved vectors that can be used to efficiently edit four genes at once in Citrus. We show that the ES8Z promoter from Arabidopsis is an effective promoter in Citrus, and can be used to drive tRNA arrays for multiplex gene editing. In addition, define a set of components that are highly effective in multiplex gene editing.
