Amblyomma maculatum Transcriptome or Gene expression

dataset
posted on 2024-06-11, 06:56 authored by National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases
Bulk RNA sequencing of R. parkeri infected and uninfected hemocytes from Amblyomma maculatum revealed 39,249 mRNA transcripts. Differential gene expression analysis revealed 17 upregulated and 35 downregulated genes with immune functions in R. parkeri infected hemocytes. Using a reverse genetic approach (RNAi), we characterized the functions of two genes, nimrod B2, and eater as unique to phagocytic hemocytes and critical for phagocytosis.
