The sialotranscriptome of the adult female Amblyomma maculatum (Gulf Coast) tick. The goal of this project was to sequence, assemble and annotate a cDNA library from the salivary glands of adult female Amblyomma maculatum ticks fed for 2-9 days on a sheep. 1,626,969 pyrosequences (raw data on SRA036543.2) were assembled into 190,646 contig, 72,441 of which were larger than 149 nt. 15,814 coding sequences were extracted from contigs having 5 or more reads. These coding sequences were annotated and compared to other tick sialotranscriptomes in a hyperlinked Excel spreadsheet.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA72241 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
