We used single cohort-colonies to decouple age and behavioral task in the honey bee, Apis mellifera. We test two hypotheses: (1) honey bees experience differences in the midgut and ileum microbiota that reflect age and behavioral tasks and (2) oxidative damage and gene expression reflect differences between age and behavioral task.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA801240 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
